Road Safety Update: Gale force winds and floodingMonday 6 January 2014: The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is advising all road users to take extra care using the roads as Met Éireann warn of further widespread gales today and very high Atlantic waves causing some coastal flooding. www.met.ieMet Éireann issued another level orange alert this morning warning of gale force winds with gusts ranging between 90 km/hr and 120 km/hr in Leinster, Munster, Connacht and Ulster.  High Atlantic waves may cause some coastal flooding. Passing heavy showers are set to continue with thunderstorms in places and local flooding inland.
